First Day of Kindergarten (a bit late!)

BORING!

Well, I don't remember being annoyed about the first day of school, but I do remember that there were a lot of procedures to go over. Joel's first words to me after school were, "Today was SOOO boring!" Those words were accompanied by a look of mild disgust. Hmmm... I never thought of the first day through the eyes of a second grade boy, but I'm beginning to see things a little differently. The most upsetting part of yesterday? Only three minutes of recess due to talking, talking and more talking about playground rules. Yuck. Do you feel for my energetic seven-year-old? Luckily there is only one first day of school per year. Hopefully today will be the start of a more normal classroom routine. Have a great second day of school, Joel!
