For several months now I have been baking homemade bread for my family as a way to eat more natural foods. The side benefit of the healthfulness is the taste! We absolutely love the whole wheat honey-sweetened bread that I have been baking. When we returned from East Lake last Friday we had just finished off our last loaf and it has taken me until today to finally get a batch (three loaves) made. Well, here's the sad part: salt. Too much. Not good. So sad. Waste of time. Sad. Sad. SAD!

Scary Cookies
I just had to share these fun sugar cookies that I made last night. I am so proud of them! Frankenstein and the little ghost are pretty cute "scary" cookies, eh? Using a tulip cookie cutter made it really easy to get these cute shapes. The green and black are Martha Stewart sanding sugars, and though it's hard to tell, the ghost also has white sanding sugar. The eyes are brown Reese's Pieces. Yum!
