Garden Fare

This morning I went out to the garden and harvested some of my basil and tomatoes. These are all we're growing this year, but they are definitely my favorite crops! I was excited about how much basil was ready. It has been a long time since I've had a good crop of basil. This year's tomato plants are going crazy out there. We have four kinds planted, and they are all doing great. Recently we picked a Beefsteak that weighed over one pound!!! I love my garden and I can't wait to enjoy more of what it has to offer.

Treehouse 1

Joel has been anxiously awaiting the treehouse that Steve promised him. Now that our new fence is finished they got to work on the treehouse this week. It will be completed in phases, but even just this beginning portion was very exciting! Joel went with Steve to buy the lumber, where Steve bought him his very own tool belt. That was really special for both of them. When they returned they spent the afternoon constructing.

After naptime Jacob joined in the fun!
Kaylee was also a big help. She cleaned up all of the scrap pieces from the fence project.
Thank you, Kay!
