I picked to title this entry "September Grass" because it is a song that Steve and I love from James Taylor's "October Road" album. The album is a reminder of how much we love autumn. It has always been a special time for us. We have lots of wonderful memories from this time of year. September 29th, 1996 was the date that he proposed to me. A few weeks later we took a drive along the beautiful Mackenzie Corridor and took pictures which we then used for Christmas cards that announced our engagement. Another fond memory is when we went to the Thompson Farm pumpkin patch with our first dog Rylie. While there, we posed for some pictures with brightly colored trees lining the background. This outing was the source of another Christmas card. Unknown to us at the time, our future home was nestled just beyond those gorgeous trees. A few years after that we took another Christmas card photo of us with Rylie and our first son Joel amidst some beautiful trees which lined the road on our way to church. It's amazing how many images and feelings can be evoked by a season!
