"8:51...8:52..."

This morning on the way to school Kaylee noticed the time on the clock in the car. She was working on reading 8:50 when it changed to 8:51. She then started repeating 8:51. She asked me if I knew why she kept saying it over and over. I guessed, "To practice?" "Yes." Well, I now know that 8:51 can be stated at least 10 times in a minute. As can 8:52, and 8:53. And 8:54...8:55...8:56...8:57...8:58...and 8:59. As we neared school she was anticipating "eight fifty ten" and then it turned nine o'clock. That was enough for her to think about and she ceased practicing. :-) It was an interesting drive, but I have to say she really is getting better with her numbers!
