Kaylee lost her first tooth yesterday. It has been getting loose for awhile and it looked like it may not last much longer. Yesterday she was nibbling on Smarties when all of a sudden she said, "OW!" She was concerned when she noticed blood on her fingers. Still, the tooth held on. I offered to pull the tooth out for her. She really wanted to say yes, but was worried about the pain. After some deliberation she agreed to let me try. Fortunately, (for both of us!), the hardest part was wrapping the tooth with thread. Once I had it encircled I counted to three and pulled. Pop! It came right out and she couldn't believe how little it hurt. That was a wonderful thing for both of us. Thank you, Lord! That was the first time I ever pulled out a tooth. Yeah Mommy!

Boy, when you blog, you really blog! Yay for Kaylee's first tooth...and yay that it went so smoothly once it was tied up. (Would you believe that Ben still hasn't lost any teeth yet?)
Here's the interesting part - Joel has only lost two, and they were extracted at the dentist when he was six!
