Picture This

Cold, rain, a bit windy.
Jacob.
Jacob in his navy blue rainslicker.
Jacob in his navy blue rainslicker with his hood on.
Pan down...
Jacob's white crew socks.
Jacob's black suede Vans.

Now, what is missing? Really. WHAT is missing? Can you imagine how we walked into Kaylee's preschool class today? Jacob in his navy blue hooded rainslicker with his black shoes and white socks separated only by his cute, chubby, bare legs.

Why? Oh yes, that was the question asked (nonverbally, mostly) by many. Why indeed. We were having a learning opportunity. Yep. That's what you get when you cross a recalcitrant* toddler with a hormonal mommy. Thankfully, it was a bit windy and Jacob was uncomfortably cold. He decided pants were a good choice for the day. Good choice indeed.

*recalcitrant - resistant, difficult to manage

Love it! My friend, struggling to get her daughter out of bed in the morning and fighting to get her to school on time, finally threatened to take her to school in her pjs...and followed through! Her 6 year old was MORTIFIED and wore her coat all day. Mornings weren't such a struggle after that.
